Drum for Valentine Tiny Town

I am trying to do a drum finish for one of my Tiny Town stitches. I wasn't looking forward to really packing the drum with a lot of fiber fill - I don't always get the smooth results I would like to have. I also didn't want to put cardboard circles inside in case the drum ever needed to be washed. These are the early beginnings for my attempt at what I hope will work for me. I am using Warm and Natural quilt batting strips made into a spiral for the main portion of the drum. I have some discs cut from the same batting for the top and bottom. I am digging through my quilt fabric for an appropriate piece to finish the top and bottom of the drum. I have not figured out each step ahead of time so it will be interesting to see what does not work as I had planned while I move forward.

Patriotic Tiny Town Finish

I have finished the Patriotic Tiny Town so unless I purchase some more of these charts, I am caught up with the Tiny Towns that I have in my stash.

I am ready to crochet for a little while so there is plenty of time to decide if I "need" more Tiny Towns.

Patriotic Tiny Town WIP

I am almost 1/2 way across this Patriotic Tiny Town by Heart in Hand Needleart.  I am constantly thinking about making these Tiny Towns into a drum as I stitch them.

XS Tiny Town Finish

 I finished the Heart in Hand Big Hearted Tiny Town.    I still have not finished the first Tiny Town (Christmas) into a drum so I am not sure what kind of finish this Tiny Town will turn into.

I have started another TinyTown - this is Big Hearted Tiny Town. 
I was supposed to use a light pink on the right side of the double building with LOVE at the bottom.  I don't want to frog that much so I am trying to decide where to use that color somewhere on the remaining chart.  It's such a pretty pink and that building was the only place it was used - I just don't want to not use it somewhere.

I could not be happier with the way it turned out. 

 Now I will watch a tutorial by Vonna on how to do a drum (probably more than once).

XS WIP Tiny Town

I am almost 1/2 way across the Christmas Tiny Town by Heart in Hand.  I am stitching this on 20 count fabric, 1 thread over 1 square so it won't be very large.  (about 8.8 inches wide by 1.5 inches high).  I really like all of the Tiny Town charts (well, except Halloween which has never been an interest of mine) so I may do some of the others.  My mind is spinning with how to finish it - I really want to try the drum finish but plenty of time to figure that out.
