Finish Wild West Afghan

 

 

  I have finished crocheting the Wild West afghan.  

  I put an envelope border all around - it covers up all the       loose ends that were on the left and right side.  I tied the loose ends in pairs before closing the envelope border all around.

  It ended up being 37"wide x 63.5"high.

 The yarn I used (Stylecraft Special DK) colors and number of skeins:

Wild West Afghan WIP

I have made a little more progress on my afghan.  

The top section is alternating boots and scorpions.  I am going to finish that strip and then add the same blue strip that is at the bottom.  Then the afghan will measure about 35" x 58".

I am going to study more envelope border tutorials so I can finish this one and pick another one to start.

Wild West WIP

I have added a few more sections to the Wild West Afghan. 

It currently measures 35 x 47.5 so I am thinking I will add a bit more before I crochet the envelope border that will hide all of the ends on the sides.

Wild West WIP

I have not made much progress since my last post but I added a narrow strip of lizards and snakes. Now I am halfway through a section of alternating cowboy hats and stars.

Crochet Wild West WIP

This is my current crochet project.  The last afghan I crocheted was called a tapestry crochet pattern.

This project is called mosaic crochet, which has several styles and I think this is called overlay mosaic.

It's very new to me so feel free to correct me if  I am confused about the terminology.  It amazes me that I have been crocheting for 50+ years and there are so many new to me things to learn.
