Crochet WIP

This is a pattern from Daisy Farm Crafts - called Even Moss Berry Ridge Blanket.

I am using Red Heart Super Saver in the ombre Green Apple color.  I am on the 3rd skein  and I have 3 more skeins left - this pattern uses a lot of yarn but I love the textures.

Crocheted Hat

 I finished crocheting this winter hat.  The pattern is called Snowy Wheat and can be found here: https://brianakdesigns.com/snowy-puff-crochet-hat-pattern.

I made the small adult size with Lion Brand Basic Stitch anti-pilling yarn.  I used 110.5 grams - just over 1 skein.  The color is Beryl.

I may make another hat in the medium adult size.

Eiffel Tower Crochet Finish

I have finished the corner to corner style crocheted afghan of the Eiffel Tower - this was delivered yesterday as a graduation gift to my granddaughter.  It measures 35" by 49.5". 

I purchased this "Corner to Corner" crochet pattern on Etsy at this link .  This was a new to me crochet technique which seemed impossible to figure out at first but after a few weeks of on-- line tutorials (youtube is my friend) it finally started to make sense so I was glad I was able to finish this in time to gift it yesterday.

My daughter has a friend who is having a baby this summer so my next crochet project is already in progress.

I have so many cross stitch and crochet wips waiting for me so I don't think I will ever run out of fun things to do.

Pattern uses Big Twist (Joann Fabrics)  - I substituted: #4 weight Michael's brand 'Impeccable' 

C1 - (2) Big Twist    -    6 skeins Chocolate (~297 yards/skein) 

C2 - (1) Big Twist    -    3 skeins Orange (~297 yards/skein) 

C3 - (1) Big Twist    -    3 skeins Ivory (or Cream) (~297 yards/skein) 

C4 - (1) Big Twist    -    3 skeins Mustard (~297 yards/skein) 

C5 - (1) Big Twist    -    3 skeins Teal (~297 yards/skein)

I started with a chain of  131 stitches and I will be doing 229 rows.  I am guessing it will be approximately 38 inches wide by 57 inches high before I add the envelope border which will hide all of the loose yarn tails

Crochet Mosaic Elephant Finish

I finished the Crochet Mosaic Elephant ♥.  

This is pretty thick so it may be more of a rug/play mat than a cuddly baby blanket but it sure is cute.

Scandi WIP

Here are the parts I have crocheted for the Scandi Blanket.  I purchased the pattern from Made by Anita https://madebyanita.co.uk/shop/p/scandi-meadow-blanket-pattern.

I have seen it with dark blue, green and pink backgrounds - I like them all but as you can see, I settled on the white background.

I am using Stylecraft Special DK yarn for this.

Finish Hello Spring afghan

Here is the finished afghan! It ended up to be 43" wide by 58 1/2" high. 

I am so excited to start another crochet project.

WIP Hello Spring

Here is a quick update of my crochet project.  I am ready to start the envelope border for this.

This is mostly a pattern called Hello Spring by Ana Morais Soares.

 I did substitute a row of lavender flowers from Carol A Scott for one of the geometric rows in the pattern.

Right now it measures 34 inches high by 39.5 inches wide.

Crochet Finish Jesus Loves Me

I finished this baby afghan by Jody Pyott called Jesus Song.

It's about 31" x 31".  I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn in white, Candy Floss, Fiesta and Parchment (100 gram skeins).

Christmas Eve Wishes Finish

I finished the Christmas Eve Wishes afghan ♥ The border looks a little wonky but I am going to wash it and block it which will straighten it out just fine. I am so excited to be crocheting again and I cannot wait to start the next project. Happy stitching

Crochet and Quilt WIPS

I made 20 more house blocks for a total of 110.  They are 10 houses wide for 11 rows.
I stopped pressing the roof seam until I know how they will be next to each other so I can nest the seams when I sew them together in rows.  I am still undecided about how to put borders on this and I really must stop trying to get the perfect arrangement since this is so very scrappy.

I couldn't stop thinking about the Daisy Garden afghan so there was nothing to do but start working on it.  This is a free pattern which can be found here
I am using Simply Soft yarn in white, green and yellow.  I am using a G hook so my squares will be smaller than the pattern.  I am guessing I have enough yarn to make extra squares.

Green Afghan Finish

I was assembling these crocheted squares in March but I put this afghan aside to make face masks.
Today, (after sewing a bazillion loose threads for the last week) I washed the finished product.  It turned out so pretty, which was a surprise to me because I had really tired of the greens by the time I set it aside.  Now they are as pretty as the day they were picked out at the start of making them.

Crochet WIP Green Afghan

I have one more square to crochet before I am ready to start crocheting these squares together.
On Facebook I saw an afghan done in black and white (CLICK HERE)
I really liked the black and white but I only had shades of green Stylecraft yarn.  With only 3 squares left to do I ran out of Stylecraft yarn but I found some Caron Simply Soft to work with.  The 2 squares on the right hand side with the pale green outer border use the Simply Soft green and I had to leave out another shade of green - I have one more "off" square to make.  I don't think it's too noticeable and I think the 3 different squares will be put in 3 of the corners so maybe they won't stand out too much.

I used 2 rows of 5 different colors of yarn in each square until I ran out of yarn.

The last 3 different squares only have 4 colors of yarn - starting in the center I crocheted

Finished Baby Afghan

This is the last of the Lion Brand Ice Cream yarn in Spumoni.  I used the moss stitch, or linen stitch which is such a relaxing way to crochet during football games.
I don't know what will be next but there are plenty of UFOs to work on.  That usually means I will want to start something new.
