WIP Lady of the Flag

I would have expected more progress after seeing how long it's been since my last update.

It may be slow but any progress is OK with me.

WIP Lady of the Flag

I stitched a very little bit on the dress. I may have thought finishing the flag was quite an achievement but I will more impressed with myself when the dress is finished.
Enjoy any stitching you find time to do this weekend.

Lady of the Flag WIP

I decided to finish the flag on July 4th after this had been sitting idle for so long. The flag took much longer than I was thinking it would but I am ready to move on to finishing the dress now.

One new accessory that is most helpful in keeping my place in this larger project is a Stitch Tracker available at https://www.purplehobbies.com/store/p63/Stitch_Tracker.html#/.

 Keep on stitching ♥

Lady of the Flag WIP

Oh my, this is a dark photo.  As you can see there is not a remarkable bit of progress.  It's a busy time of year so I am pleased that there is any stitching added.
Mostly housework is on schedule for today and then I have a very old quilt top that I want to sandwich, quilt and bind so next week's stitching may be even less.
Here  is a picture of the top that is speaking to me lately.  It's been saying "Surely it's time for me to be finished now" for so long I just can't continue to ignore it.
Happy stitch days

A Finish and a WIP

I finished crocheting the baby blanket with bubbles that I started so long ago.  Click here to see where I found the pattern.  This is only 30 inches square but it is very cuddly so I hope my daughter will find someone to love it.

There has been a little bit of progress on Lady of the Flag but there is much left to do.

Happy days of stitching to all

LOTF progress

It doesn't look like very much progress so I have decided to forego most of my household chores so I can stitch a bit more this coming week.
I confess I tend to lose my place easier when I am watching baseball so I did crochet an old wip during the games.
Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone celebrating this weekend.

lady of the flag wip

This is making my heart sing even though like most of my projects it is taking much longer than I thought it would.
I did do some crocheting for a few hours this week but only because an old wip caught my eye one day so I spent my play time working on it.  I like to watch the Diamondbacks baseball games but this particular day it was not on tv but only on youtube.  Rather than move my cross stitching project from the tv room to my play room for the game I decided to crochet while I watched baseball on my computer - it just seemed easier to crochet in my play room where the computer is located.
Find time to make some happy stitches this week.

WIP Lady Of The Flag

I finished the Lady's face and I think she is so pretty.
I hope I can do a lot of stitching in the next week.
I can't believe how many beautiful (and new to me) crocheted afghan patterns I have seen in the last week, but I am determined to finish this before I pick up a crochet hook.
Happy stitching

WIP LOTF

I had a couple of visits from the frog this week but everything is ready to move forward now.
Have a great week of stitching!

WIP Lady of the Flag

I am going to try to give up crocheting for cross stitching for a while.
I was able to purchase the Mirabilia's Lady of the Flag chart when it was re-released earlier this year.
I am stitching this on Picture This Plus fabric (Jay).  I was thinking of stitching a conversion that was done in blues but the fabric is really too purple to look right with the blue floss color changes so I am stitching it with the original floss colors.
I have decided I do not want to use the beads so I made the following substitutes for the beads:

MH 02001 → DMC 3047
MH 02019 → DMC 30745
MH 02022 → DMC 5283
MH 03015 → DMC 35200
MH 03050 → DMC 5279

I still want to stitch the blue conversion but I have not decided on what fabric to use for that and I don't know if the beads will work with the conversion - I am not going to puzzle over that while I stitch the original colors.
