Planet Patchwork - A Superbowl Mystery
If you don't care to watch the super bowl and you have ever thought about doing a mystery quilt, this might be a good time to join the fun (door prizes given to subscribers of their newsletter - a link to sign up is on the above page).
I've only done one mystery quilt (in February 2003):It was the weekend that the shuttle Columbia exploded on reentry - the quilt project really helped me cope with the tragedy that had happened. The mystery quilt did not have a name, like most of Deb's (of quiltaholics.com) earlier mysteries - it was such an eerie feeling to see that once the final assembly was complete, it was a "trip around the world" pattern. I have one block inserted incorrectly near the center but until I looked at the photo I just didn't see it.
So it is still a top - do I want to take it apart and turn that one little block or should I just quilt it and get it out of the pile of wips?
I am thinking I may be ready to try my second mystery quilt but I must dig through my fabric to see if I have any speaking to me.
We are what we believe we are. (C. S. Lewis)
