Request to trade food fabric swatches

Would anyone be interested in trading food themed novelty fabric with me?  I would like to trade fabric swatches that measure 6 inches by 8 inches to do a quilt that is an even older UFO than the cat quilt I just finished.
I swapped some food jar blocks sometime back in the late 1980s or maybe in the 1990s.  I haven't done anything with them yet - there are about 12 blocks (paper pieced with the paper still on them).  I suspect I was waiting for the urge to remove all the paper backing and and it just never came.
I have been collecting food fabrics and I have about 30 different prints but I need more prints if I don't want to repeat any fabrics in the quilt.
If you would like to trade some food fabric swatches you can leave a message with your email here on my blog - or you can email me directly at requilt@yahoo.com and we can arrange to swap some fabric.
This is the type of quilt I am thinking about (CLICK HERE to go to the website where I found this picture):

Thank you so very much if anyone can help me.

UPDATE:  I just found some paperwork that tells me this was a swap in 2004 - eek, that means I confused it with an older swap that must be lurking in my UFO bins somewhere.

Quilt UFO Finish

This top has been a UFO for over 10 years - why do I let things languish for so long?
Each block is a cat silhouette pieced with different fabrics with pictures of cats.
The picture distorts the shape a bit - the finished quilt measures about 70 inches by 80 inches.
The backing fabric is a collage of different cats - it's very pretty in real life.

Happy Finish ♥

I love the way this turned out - I hope my daughter's friend (Alana) likes it as much as I do.
The stitched area is 14" wide by 17" high on white 22 count fabric (I cannot explain the color of the fabric in the photo).  I used 4 skeins of black floss - one over one for the tree silhouette, 3 over 2 for the capital letters and 2 strands for the back stitching.
The birth dates really are lined up on the left but the 22 count fabric was not laying square on the table so they slant a little in the picture.  I hope whoever frames it will square it up nicely -  I am going to suggest Jill Rensel if Alana doesn't have a someone else in mind.  Jill is the queen of cross stitch framing in the on line group I visit so click on her name and go to her web site to see her wonderful framing.  I have never had anything framed by Jill Rensel but I hope to one day.
Happy Stitching to all.

WIP Milestone

Happy Dance with me - it's not really a finish but the chart is completed so I am celebrating.  All that remains is to chart and stitch the names of the mothers.  I have a very small amount of the black thread left from the 3rd skein of floss.  This didn't use as much floss as I thought it would and there are plenty of skeins of black floss left to stitch the names and birth dates.
It's amazing to me how the camera creates different wavy line patterns with each picture - it must be caused when the fabric is hanging from the scroll bars instead of laying on a flat surface.

Black WIP

It's been a month and I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel of black stitching I am in.  Colors really are very special and I hope I don't take them for granted as much as I have in the past.
We have been getting some monsoon storms so I am not on line as much as I like.  The thought of getting used to a new computer should this one be blown away by a terrible strike from a storm encourages me to keep it unplugged during thunder and lightening.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer (or whatever season you are currently experiencing).
With any luck my next post will be a finish of this project.

Tree WIP

Wow it doesn't look like much in the picture but it seems like a lot in real life.  I think I may be half done at this point.  I am so looking forward to stitching something with different colors of floss.

Happy 4th of July weekend to all who celebrate.

Progress on new Mothers Tree

This is as far as I have gotten on the Swing Tree for the current Mothers Tree project.  Stitching all in black is a new style for me and I will admit it can put me to sleep occasionally.  It is still exciting to see the tree start to appear and I am looking forward to stitching the swing.
I have never liked working with the DMC black floss - it seemed stringy and limp compared to the other DMC floss.  For this project I decided to try the new Sullivans floss.  I can't tell any difference between the two so perhaps the quality of floss is affected by the black dye.  I have heard that the Anchor floss in black is very nice so that will be my next brand to try when I need black floss.  I don't want to change floss in the middle of this though.
This is the chart I mentioned in my previous post that can be purchase HERE on Etsy.

An Old WIP

I have added six (6) and 1/2 states to my very old WIP America Land That We Love by Jean Farish.
I started this project 02-22-11.
I printed these free charts in the 1990s but the web site is no longer active.    My understanding is that these charts were eventually published in a leaflet so they are out there somewhere floating around.  At one time they could still be downloaded from the "wayback" machine but I see they have been removed.
When I posted this picture to my computer I saw that it has been 3 years since I took a progress photo of this WIP - my goodness where does the time go?

I am doing another Mothers Tree for a friend of my daughter who has a little baby girl.  She has picked a very pretty tree chart available on Etsy which I have received and printed.
CLICK HERE to see the chart on Etsy.
The fabric has been cut and the first few stitches have been done.  I am stitching this on 22 count fabric with 1 strand of floss over 1 thread.  I think I will stitch the names are over 2 threads so it won't be such a tiny column under such a wide picture.  I haven't decided how many strands of floss I will use  for the names - probably at least 3 because that's what I usually use on 14 count fabric but this will be 11 count.  It will give me plenty to puzzle over while I stitch the tree chart.

Another Mothers Tree finished

I am so sorry for the blurry picture but I think you can get an idea of how they look from this picture.
I framed the Cherry Blossom Mothers Tree for my DD and I also stitched and framed a Mothers Tree for my sister.  I will see my DD on Mothers Day so I am very happy that it's framed in time.
I don't think I can mail the other one to my sister by Mothers Day but it will be pretty close.
Note to myself regarding DMC Floss for names:
3608/3609 pink
470/936   avocado green

Mothers Day finish

I made a Mothers' Day Tree for my Mom years ago with my oldest grand daughter's name at the bottom.
When my mom died it was given to my daughter and the youngest grand daughter always asked why there was not one done with her name so I decided to make another tree this year.
I wanted it to look different so I had saved a cherry tree covered in cherry blossoms that I found years ago on a french web site and since pink is her favorite color it seemed to be perfect.
Now I just need to find a frame and get it finished before Mothers Day

Easter Finish

What a wonderful day!  I was concerned that my Easter project would not be finished until after Easter due to a brief visit from the frog.  But LOOK, I did manage to finish before Easter after all.
Wishing a great weekend and a Happy Easter to all.

Easter WIP Progress

This is moving right along and I am enjoying this project.
I had a little trouble understanding the back stitching instructions for the center but I ended up using 1 strand to backstitch the cross stitching in the letters.  I then used 2 strands to backstitch the lines that made up some parts of some letters and the swirls.
I know there are several mistakes that I have made but I really can't see them so they aren't bothering me at all.
I was going to stitch a Christmas project next but I may do a Mother's Tree for my youngest grand daughter before I start that.
I never really know what I am going to do next until it's time to start something.
