Easter Basket and my sister.

My older sister passed away this last weekend so I am not very productive today and probably won't be until more of the shock wears off.

I did make 2 chenille Easter Bunnies with the tutorial and pattern at Sew Much Ado. CLICK HERE to get the instructions. I did sew mine together with an exposed seam so the seam would be raggy, too. I have washed these 3 times and they do fluff up more with each washing.  Pay more attention than I did to how you cut out the ear patterns - I think the top bunny ears look better with the chenille running the length of the ear instead the way the bottom bunny ears have the chenille going across the ears.  I just sewed across the ears when I assembled the front and back pieces so they are hanging down along side the bunny instead of standing up above the head.
I think if I make these again I will wash the chenille several time before I cut out the patterns.  The seam that assembles the front to back seems to hinder the fluffing - you can really tell in the difference in the ears which do not have a seam around them (just at the top where they are attached to the body).
